    EUROPEAN COMMISSION

The European Commission is an organization which guarantees that the European Union will agree on common goals and objectives amongst the member states. The Mentor Project is funded by the European Union, DG X, within the E-learning (Media Education) program.

 

    UNESCO

The UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization), currently comprises 189 member countries. Its main objectives are to contribute to maintaining peace and security in the world through education, science, culture and communication. The Division of Communication Development (Media Education) is leading the Mentor Project within its Media Education Programme (www.unesco.org/ci).

    CEDEFOP

CEDEFOP (European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training) is the European agency which advises the European Commission directors, as well as member states and collaborating organizations, in adopting professional training policies in educational and professional fields. They oversee the areas of e-learning and basic collaborative networking within the Mentor Project.

          CLEMI

El CLEMI (Centre for Liason Between Teaching and Information Media) is an organization associated with the National center of pedagogical documentation under the French National Ministry of Education. Their mission is to promote the multiple use of news media in teaching while the learners develop a critical understanding. They are responsible for research and educational resource material assistance for the Mentor Project.

The ALLIANCE OF CIVILIZATIONS (AoC) is working in partnership with governments, international and regional organizations, civil society groups, foundations, and the private sector.  It aims to improve understanding and cooperative relations among nations and peoples across cultures and religions. One of its main objectives is to develop, support, and highlight projects that promote understanding and reconciliation among cultures globally. These projects are  mainly related to youth, education, media and migration. The Alliance is supporting a range of projects and initiatives aimed at building bridges among a diversity of cultures and communities.
