PhD in Communications from Leicester University, England. Professor at the Faculty of Mass Communication at Cairo University, Egypt. His main areas of interest include media education, social marketing, information and communication technology (ICT) and research methods. He published a few books on mass communication research methods, media education, advertising and public relations. He has also published a few articles on different areas of mass communication. He supervised more than 25 MA and PhD theses. He organized and participated in many international meetings in the Middle East, Europe and the United States. He also worked for some regional and international organizations including the United Nations. He is a member of the Scientific Board of Comunicar. He is also a member of the UNESCO's Expert Group on Media Literacy.

PhD in Information Sciences from Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). Professor of Journalism at the same university. Director of Communication and Education Cabinet and director of Journalism and Communication Sciences Department of UAB. He was the producer and director of education television at TVE (1991-1994). He is the president of the Network of Mediterranean Multimedia Formation Centres and the director of a variety of collections about Communication and Multimedia in Paidós Editorial. He is also a member of the UNESCO's Expert Group on Media Literacy. He has published several articles about Media Literacy, the last was "Media Literacy and New Humanism", with Tapio Varis (2012). He is a member of Media Literacy Experts Group, European Commission. He also took part in the assessment of UNESCO resume in Teacher's Training on Media Literacy. He is the present UNITWIN AoC Chair Holder.

Professor in Communication Sciences, at the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Minho, where he lectures in the fields of Journalism Studies, Media History and Media Literacy. Being a former journalist and the Press Ombudsman for the daily Portuguese newspaper "Jornal de Notícias", he is currently Coordinator of the Media and Journalism Line and a member oft he Board of the Communication and Society Research Centre (CSRC), a Research Unit placed at the University of Minho. Manuel Pinto is a member of the Portuguese Association of Communication Sciences (SOPCOM) and Vice-President of the "Media Education Research Section" of the International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR).

PhD is Vice-chancellor of the University of Huelva (Spain). Leads the fields of Technology and Innovation and is a Chair Professor of the Department of Education. Chairman of Group Comunicar, in Andalusia, a veteran in Spain in Education through Mass Media. He is the manager of the Iberoamerican scientific magazine of Communication and Education «Comunicar» (ISSN: 1134-3478), which is distributed in Europe and America. He is also scientific advisor to several national and international magazines, as well as manager of «Agora» Investigation Group in the Andalusian Plan of Investigation, developing various investigation projects. He has participated in many educational/investigation activities in the didactic use of mass media and has been the organizer and chairman of several scientific committees of international academic events.
