The Tahina-Can expedition took nine days to cross the desert and visit some cities in Morocco. For Sofia Prats, a Fine Arts student at the University of Valencia, "Tahina-Can Morocco has pushed the boundaries of the personal desert we each inhabit; it has guided us through the labyrinthine Arab alleyways that separated us from those cultures that are so different and yet similar to ours."

The Tahina-Can Expedition is an initiative of the Department of Communication and Education designed to promote the interest of the university community in the culture and customs of other regions and establish close ties of cooperation between Spanish university students and students, institutions and the media from other countries. This year's trip proved to be a change from the traditional Latin American itineraries undertaken in the past in favor of the expedition to Morocco.

The documentary "Seven days, one desert: The Tahina-Can Expedition, Morocco 2012 in pictures", shows some of the most striking images that the expedition captured en route.
